Description

Vaping CBD gives your body access to the effects of CBD in the shortest time frame, although it’s also said that vaping wears off the most quickly, as well.  As a vape product, the CBD and terpenes are aerosolized as you inhale, which means that the absorption rate is much higher than if you ingest your CBD. Not only do CBD Terpenes vape pens hit your sublingual glands as the vapor passes through your mouth, it also gets directly into your bloodstream as vapor reaches the small blood vessels in your lungs. When it comes to immediately feeling the full effects of the hemp plant’s oil extract, there is no better delivery system.

Strain Profile

What are Terpenes

Terpenes are natural antioxidants and flavonoids found in plants, spices, and fruits, and are responsible for creating unique aromas and flavors. We’re still understanding the full nature of how terpenes interact with the body and potentially contribute to the cannabis plant’s effects. A major hypothesis being studied by respected labs across the country is known as the "entourage effect," which is based on some initial evidence that taking terpenes along with cannabidiol (CBD) can boost the effect of both. It's thought that the two compounds may work synergistically, and many users only purchase CBD terpenes products for this very reason.

Terpene Profile

Although each strain has numerous terpenes, the most prominent found in this CBDfx Sour Diesel CBD Terpenes Vape Pen are:
  • Limonene (prominent terpene): This, as the name implies, is citrusy and is in citrus fruits and rinds. You often find it in supplements because it might help with mental clarity, focus and energy. It's the so-called "feel-good" terpene. It also may have anti-bacterial properties.
  • Caryophyllene: This peppery, spicy terpene is abundant in black pepper, cloves, and cinnamon. Like some of the other terpenes in Sour Diesel, it is an energizer and may also work to promote calm, relaxation and stress-relief.
  • Pinene: Found in pine needles, rosemary, basil and dill, this terpene may have anti-septic effects and may help ease Asthma symptoms. It's also known to promote alertness, memory retention and act as an anti-depressant.
  • Humulene: Found in hops, cloves and coriander, this terpene may be effective as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic (pain reliever). It's also known to act as an appetite suppressant.
  • Myrcene: Found in plants like mango, lemongrass, and thyme, myrcene has a scent many of us are familiar with. The aroma is earthy and herbal, one that is common to marijuana. There is also an underlying hint of cloves. In terms of effects, myrcene is thought to have calming properties, and offers a relaxing sense of ease and sedative effects (when over 0.5% is detected).

Primary Aromas

Orange, cinnamon, pine, hops, lavender

2018 Farm Bill
How does the 2018 Farm Bill define hemp? What does it mean for FDA-regulated products? At the federal level, the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018, Pub. L. 115-334, (the 2018 Farm Bill) was signed into law on Dec. 20, 2018. Among other things, this new law changes certain federal authorities relating to the production and marketing of hemp, defined as "the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of that plant, including the seeds thereof and all derivatives, extracts, cannabinoids, isomers, acids, salts, and salts of isomers, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis." These changes include removing hemp from the CSA, which means that cannabis plants and derivatives that contain no more than 0.3 percent THC on a dry weight basis are no longer controlled substances under federal law. The 2018 Farm Bill, however, explicitly preserved FDA’s authority to regulate products containing cannabis or cannabis-derived compounds under the FDC Act and section 351 of the Public Health Service Act (PHS Act). FDA treats products containing cannabis or cannabis-derived compounds as it does any other FDA-regulated products — meaning they’re subject to the same authorities and requirements as FDA-regulated products containing any other substance. This is true regardless of whether the cannabis or cannabis-derived compounds are classified as hemp under the 2018 Farm Bill.
